All of Kestin Hare’s AW18 knitwear is made in Scotland at the Esk Cashmere Factory in Annan, Dumfries.
For Kestin, supporting local manufacturing and building long-lasting relationships with the craftsmen are incredibly important and form key part of his brand’s core values. Esk is a family-run business and Stuart the owner has worked with Kestin over the past 15 years. The partnership has resulted in the highest quality knitwear collections, pushing the boundaries of modern knitting technology with a skilled team who have the experience to know what works.
Stuart explained to us that “The Black Science of Knitting” is incredibly technical and many of the staff have been there for up to 40 years honing their skills. Esk make and mill everything in Scotland under the same roof and source their yarns with care and integrity, trying to use the small but rich seam of spinners in Britain.
