Fly fishing, single malt whisky and massive waders – a top weekend with a great bunch of lads.
At the beginning of March, Kestin took Anthony, Oliver and Matthew on a road trip to Speyside, showing the guys the remote landscapes and experiences that inspired his SS19 collection.
First up was a tour of the BenRiach whisky distillery to learn about the innovation and processes behind the two aged whiskies referenced by the Shop Coats in the collection. Whisky casks, Warehouse 13, copper stills and some seriously old school machinery made for a totally unique setting for the tastings.
Then the boys ventured to the Gordon Castle beat on the River Spey for some fly fishing. Kestin grew up fly fishing with his dad and wanted to show the lads how it was done. No fish were caught this time though.
To warm up post fishing the group went to the Craigellachie Hotel for dinner and to stay the night before packing up and heading back down the road via some amazing scenery to Edinburgh to visit the Cruiser Store.
